Legatura romantica in marocchino violetto, elegantemente ornata in oro ai piatti e al dorso, dentelles interne, tagli dorati. Bellissima opera riccamente illustrata da 33 incisioni fuori testo su acciaio (compresi antiporta, frontespizio e carta geografica della Sicilia) eseguite da Cousen, Willmore, Hughes, Brandard, Challis; e 16 xilografie nel testo. Elegantemente legato all'epoca in piena pelle, i piatti ornati da ricca bordura floreale, titolo e filetti oro al dorso a nervi, dentelles e tagli dorati. Buon esemplare con le tavole protette dalle veline originale, leggero spotting.
