Description
This is a very good softcover copy in printed stiff gray card wraps, bound with red cord. Text in French. Backes was an engineer and constructed bridges in France. He was based in Lyons. This is essentially a trade catalog showcasing his work. 56 pages, the format is each left page is a black & white photograph of the bridge and each right page has details of the materials and construction techniques, etc. The bridges were built from 1899 to 1935. 7" high X 11" wide.
