Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very faint traces of foxing to top of page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or rubbed with very slight crease to top of spine. 368pp. The first half of the 19th century saw a rapid expansion of printing and of literacy. This study is a collection of the popular literature published in Engand between Peterloo and the Great Exhibition, often in facsimile to understand the appearance from the time.
