FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of Delpit's fiery response to Veuillot's book. 2 leaves; 301 pp. From a total edition of 610 copies, this is ONE OF ONLY TEN PRINTED ON COLORED PAPER (in this case yellow, yellow being the color the French traditionally associate with cuckoldry). Large 8vo. Attractively bound in recent cloth. Original wraps bound in--the justification de tirage is, oddly enough, printed on the rear wrapper, which would normally have been discarded by the binder, and thus Vicaire (III, 139) is unaware of the number of copies printed, or indeed of the very existence of copies printed on colored paper. A rare and curious item indeed.
