Description

Previous owner's bookplate inside front board. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. Very clean very tight pages with slightly dusty unmarked boards, sunning to spine and minor bumping/rubbing to spine ends and lower front corner. Top edge gilt. 189pp. Limited Edition no 324 of 500. The history of Rush-bearing and Rush-carts - a long established custom throughout Great Britain which by the late nineteenth century was mainly practised in the hill districts of Lancashire and Yorkshire. Well illustrated with photographs and diagrams, many of these being of Uppermill near Oldham.
