Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and with bumping to corners. The internal rear hinge, whist being very firm and tight, looks to have been rubbed at some time and that part of the end paper re-secured. Dust jacket price clipped but not marked with nicks and chips to edges, some repaired internally with invisible tape. Black & white plates on 192pp plus 297pp. A study of English sculpture from the seventh century until the dissolution of the monasteries in the last 1530s and the attack on religious imagery between 1547 and 1553.
