Description
A BEAUTIFUL UNPUBLISHED FAN LETTER FROM MAX JACOB (1876-1944), STILL UNKNOWN AT THE AGE OF 26, TO WRITER AND INTELLECTUAL PAUL LECLERCQ (1872-1956). 4 pp (both sides of both leaves of a bifolium), about 180 words, on fine laid paper. Jacob, with great humility, effusively expresses his admiration for Leclercq's works ("Vous avez si délicieusement parfumé mon cœur") and asks where he can find more. A bit of old skinning to upper margins of pages 2 and 3, otherwise in very fresh condition. UNIQUE AND IMPORTANT.
