Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of Stanley, 32 illustrations on plates and a folding map. 8vo, publisher’s deluxe binding of light brown textured cloth with an elaborate gilt vignette on the upper cover and gilt lettering on the spine. 207, (2, index) pp. A fine, handsome, clean and bright copy with only very minor evidence of age.
