8vo., First Edition; original green cloth, upper board and backstrip lettered in black, a very good, clean copy in the dustwrapper, the latter lightly browned and chipped at extremities. The first major study of Stresemann following declassification of his papers in the previous year. Both Gatzke and Boas were Professors at John Hopkins; both were intrigued by the enigmatic Stresemann, at once Nobel Peace Prize holder, Foreign Minister of Weimar from 1923 to 1929, and apparently idealistic internationalist.
