First Edition, INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY STEGNER "For Jinny .Wally". Jinny was a very personal friend of many years. She and Stegner remained in touch with one another and were close for decades. 8vo, publisher’s original rust boards, the spine lettered in gilt, in the original dustjacket. 515 pp. A fine copy but for some subtle mellowing or evidence of age to the spine tips and wear to the jacket. The jacket does have some significant chipping to the spine panel and some edgewear.
