Description
Name to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked pale yellow cloth boards, faint crease down spine and very minor bumping to some corners. Sunned dust jacket not price clipped or marked with a few nicks, small tears to edges and an enclosed tear to rear spine edge. Jacket now protected in fully-removable transparent sleeve. 549pp. A revision of the image of Classic Maya civilization which collapsed in the 8th and 9th centuries AD based on findings from research carried out around the middle of the 20th century. The conclusions point to a general model of socio-political collapse not limited to the cultural history of the Maya alone. Scarce hardback edition in the UK.
