Date to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very slightly dusty top of page edges, tiny bump to spine foot and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with slightly dusty rear and a little rubbing to spine and to upper and lower edges. 244pp. A new impression of the original journey from 1911 with a new introduction and plates by L.T.C. Rolt. The author travelled by canal boat through the Thames & Severn Canal (closed in 1933 and re-opened in 2018) as well as the Oxford Canal, the Warwick line, the Stratford & Avon and the Avon and Severn with Eynsham Harry the boatman and Fanny the horse. Illustrated.
