Illustrated with a large folding map, and two tinted and two coloured lithographic plates, one being the dedication page and with 3 engraved vignette title pages complete as called for. 8vo, handsomely bound in contemporary three-quarter tan calf over marbled paper covered boards, the spines with raised bands gilt ruled, two compartments lettered in gilt. xix, 428; xi, 430; xi, 436 pp. A handsome copy of this very difficult to find work, beautifully preserved, the bindings tight and strong and in very good order, the text-blocks clean and just a tad mellowed at the edges, the plates in good order and the map complete and backed with silk.
