London, British Ornithological Union, 1924. 8vo. xl, 892 pp.; 31 plates (two coloured). Original red embossed cloth with gilt title on the spine, and gilt vignette on the front board. Top edge gilt. Original wrappers preserved and bound in at the back. = A volume from one of the longest running and most influential ornithological magazines. Especially the earlier years, with fine plates by Keulemans, Grönvold and others, are very uncommon and sought-after. Disbound. Spine slightly sunned, as usual, split and damaged at several places. Ex-libris of S. Dillon Ripley 2nd, pasted in on verso front board.
