Description
No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with slightly dusty unmarked bevelled edge maroon boards, very clear gilt lettering/embossing, a little rubbing to rear fore-edge and no bumping to corners. Unfortunately, whilst this work was meant to hold Volume 1, Nos 1 to 6 (October 1905 to March 1906), the first 63 pages (No 1- October 1905) are completely blank. The remaining five sections are in 'near fine' condition. 386pp. The first ever edition of this, 'A popular magazine of Progress, devoted to Association, Education, Literature and General Advancement'. Well illustrated. Extremely scarce.
