Illustrated with a double-page map of Canada and Adjacent Countries taken from the original dated towards the end of the 17th century. 8vo, publisher's original terra cotta cloth, the covers blocked in blind, upper cover with a central illustration of an Indian in gilt, the spine lettered in gilt. xvi, 448 pp. A well preserved copy, the text-block clean and handsome, the binding with some rubbing and wear to the extremities.
