Description
First edition, 8vo, xii, 430 + 18pp., of publishers adverts, coloured frontispiece and 32 engraved plates, slight waterstain to lower outer blank margin of frontis., front inner hinge broken, original green publishers cloth, rather worn, short tears to joints, a couple of gathers standing proud, uncut. Not the best copy, but this is a rare book and seldom appears in commerce. Provenance: The Lawes Agriculture Library, Rothamsted Research Institute, with just a small neat stamp on rear endpaper.
