8vo., First Edition, with a frontispiece and 20 plates, neat inscription on front free endpaper; black cloth, gilt back, backstrip moderately faded (but all lettering entirely legible), a good, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter age-soiled and faded with minor loss at extremities. Detailed account of one of the RAF's greatest fighter squadrons, which served with distinction at both Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. Appendices include WWI aces, and fighter pilots with more than twelve confirmed victories (to June 1941). Enser, p.377.
