8vo., First Edition thus, with coloured frontispiece (original tissue guard present), title in brown and black, numerous plates in monochrome, 4 folding maps coloured in outline and pictorial endpapers; terracotta cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in silver, terracotta top, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. A big game and South African classic first published in 1912. This high quality facsimile reissue preserves all plates and maps, and adds a new foreword by Roberts.
