Description
This is a fine softcover copy with virtually no wear. Completely clean. Text mainly in Japanese but some English. Two essays by Japanese scholars in English: Michiaki Kawakita and Yoshikazu Iwasaki. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at The National Museum of Modern Art, in Tokyo from August 18 to September 27, 1987. Yasushi Sugiyama (1909- 1993) produced watercolor paintings in the nihonga style. Illustrated throughout in color. 12 page section at end with over one hundred small black & white images with captions partly in English. 11" high X 8" wide, 211 pages.
