Jena, Gustav Fischer, 1929. Large 4to (31.4 x 23.8 cm). 230 pp.; three lithographed plates. Original printed wrappers. = One of the few publications with a broad vision on Tertiary terrestrial gastropods, mainly from Europe, but also including the Canary islands. Wrtten by the German malacologist Georg Johann Pfeffer (1854-1931). The work contains descriptions and illustrations of many new species and genera. Published in the Geologische und Palaeontologische Abhandlungen, Neue Folge, Band 17(3). Very uncommon. cancelled stamp on front wrapper and title; otherwise, a very good, clean copy.
