Charlotte Perriand, Une Maison ‡ Montmartre

This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Galerie FranÁois Laffanour, Paris for the XXVIe Biennale des Antiquares in September 2012. For the exhibition the gallery staff reassembled many pieces of furniture and decorative arts pieces designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1959 for a client in Montmartre, Paris for whom she had designed a residence. The clients were Jean and Huguette Borot who Perriand met in the early 1950's. In 1948 Jean Borot purchased a small two story house in Montmartre. Borot contacted Charlotte Perriand to renovate the house for his family. Extensive documentation from old issues of Au'jourd'hui, Art et Architecture, etc. Lots of vintage black & white and some color photographs of the built-in furniture Perriand designed. 12" high X 9" wide, about 70 pages.
