With 12 haunting colour plates, illustrated endpapers, 18 black and white illustrations and line drawings by Arthur Rackham. The colourplates with tissue-guards captioned in burnt umber. 8vo, publisher’s original red cloth lettered and pictorially decorated in black on the upper spine in a ringing bells and a holly and berry motif, pictorially decorated endpapers. xi, 147 pp. A very lovely copy indeed, the red cloth is clean and bright, with none of the common fading to the spine, the edges and corners sharp, the text clean and with no spots but a hint of even toning to ivory, internally as pristine and never used.
