First Edition, folio, lacks the engraved portrait of Charles 1, with the final colophon leaf, [2], 430, [2] pp., contemporary calf, rebacked with original spine laid down, label. Edited by W. Balconquhall, the work contains key declarations and documents relating to the events in Scotland, which subsequently led to the outbreak of Civil War in England. It was answered by W. Ker in ìA True Representation of the Prceedings of the Kingdome of Scotland,î 1640. S.T.C., 21906. The issue with the side note on page 41.
