First edition, 4to, viii, [i], [10]-111 [i.e. 119], [1], ii, xviii, [4]pp., irregular pagination: 59*-60*, 75*-76* and 109*-111*, errata leaf pasted to verso of dedication leaf, one of 100 copies printed, signed by Peck on the title page, folded map frontispiece, 8 engraved plates (as called for by Boyne), several engravings in the text, title printed in red and black, some light spotting, closed tear to U1, orig. boards, lacks spine, uncut. A rare topographical work. William Peck, originally from Epworth in Lincolnshire, set up business as a Druggist in Bawtry from where he wrote his history. Provenance: Neat contemporary ink ownership signature to head of title page ëWm. Beckitt, Thorneí; late nineteen-century bookplate of Jonathan Hindle, Steeton.
