In the Apology, published in 1518, Pomponazzi reasserts the mortalist interpretation of Aristotelian psychology, already endorsed in the Treatise on the Immortality of the Soul. Then he addresses the themes he will return to and explore further in De incantationibus and De fato (demonology, prophecy, horoscope of religions and human freedom).
