SIGNED BY MAX BROD (1884-1968) - an eminent German-speaking Jewish Czech, later Israeli, author, composer, and journalist. Although Brod was a prolific writer in his own right, he is most famous as the friend and biographer of Franz Kafka, as well as the one who, after the Kafka's death, saved the latter's manuscripts from being destroyed and promoted them. 195x130mm. 298 pages. Blacl cloth Hardcover with illustrated dust-jacket. Gilt front cover and spine. Jacket yellowing, worn and partly torn. Cover and spine edges slightly stained. Cover corners and bottom edge, and spine bottom edge slightly bumped. Text-block edges and whitepages age-stained. Author's signature on title-page. Pages slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This rare book, signed by Kafka's friend and literary executor is in good condition.
