The first monograph on Rodin and his sculpture, copiously illustrated. Printed on wove paper. COMPLETE with an original drypoint by Rodin, "Antonin Proust" (Delteil 10, state vii), which is often missing. Chiaroscuro wood-engravings by Lepere ("Eve") and Beltrand ("Figures de Purgatoire") after Rodin. Numerous other original prints, including one etching by Courtry and many wood-engravings by various artists. Large 4to. Publisher's wraps. Wraps reinforced at spine with paper tape and a bit worn at edges, internally FINE AND BRIGHT. Scarce.
