4to. 1 page on bifolium with integral address panel. To Hofkapellmeister Sutor in Hannover, thanking him for a successful performance of his opera Euryanthe ("I know only too well that only through the most careful execution this opera can be effective", transl.) and giving a short report from his stay at Marienbad to regain health. - Somewhat spotty; foldings partly faulty; small defect (from opening the letter) re-backed.
