To the lawyer and magistrate Pierre Hédouin in Boulogne-sur-Mer concerning a project that involved a successful mediation of Martin du Nord: "J'avais été au-devant de tes désirs, mon cher Hédouin, d'avant d'avoir reçu ta lettre, j'avais demandé à ton fils s'il ne songeait pas à aller te voir : il m'a répondu que tu m'écrivais pour que je t'aidasse dans ce projet, et le lendemain il m'envoya ta lettre. - Je m'empresse de t’annoncer aujourd'hui que ma médiation a eu un bon résultat [.]". - Traces of folds and tears to the address leaf due to breaking the seal.
