Informing an unnamed recipient that he might not be able to join an academy meeting and that he could not find an edition of Chataubriand's "Mémoires d'outre-tombe" with a preface by the literary historian Désiré Nisard, the existence of which he doubts: "Il n'est pas sûr que je puisse samedi 'honorer de ma présence' - je mets des Guillemets ! - l'académie de l'Éperon [?]. Aussi, sans plus attendre, je vous avouerai qu'ayant tenacement cherché une édition des Mémoires d'outre-tombe préfacé par Désiré Nisard, je n'ai rien trouvé [.]". - On stationery of the French national library, department of periodicals.
