Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Ihrem Wunsche entsprechend [.]". - A leading illustrator and caricaturist for the humoristic periodical "Fliegende Blätter" in Munich, Grätz joined the Munich Secession as well as the "Reichsverband bildender Künstler Deutschlands" and exhibited his works in Munich and Berlin. - Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
