8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Die schönste Zeichnung ist heute die auf Kriegsanleihe [.]". - A representative of the Munich School, Nonnenbruch painted in a neoclassicist style and frequented the artists' café "Wiener Café Stefanie" in Munich. Women and girls near the sea or in elegant interiors constituted his preferred motifs, frequently reproduced on porcelain as well as postcards. - Self-addressed by the collector. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
