Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Wille zum Werk [.]". - Specializing in genre and landscape painting as well as in portraiture, frequently featuring women and children, Paczka-Wagner studied in Berlin, Munich and Paris, lived in Rome and Madrid between 1888 and 1894, and settled in Berlin in 1895. - Traces of postal stamp. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
