Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). ½ page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - A student of the painter Wilhelm von Dietz (1839-1907), Breyer worked in Munich, Seeon and Berlin and taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1914 to 1933. - Some small ink spots. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
