Description
8vo (postcard). ½ page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Appointed "Kammermedailleur" in 1903, Marschall taught at the Vienna Academy since 1904. His oeuvre comprises portraits, medallions and bas-reliefs of popes and members of the Imperial family as well as decorations for tombs. - Self-addressed by the collector. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
