No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked maroon cloth boards and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with very slight creasing to upper front edge and minor traces of storage. 146pp. Biography of the international entrepreneur, engineer, patent agent and politician. He was responsible for a number of cliff railways including at Lynton and Lynmouth, Bristol, Bridgnorth and at Matlock in Derbyshire. He was involved with a number of other business enterprises and he became MP for Launceston in 1906, later crossing the floor of the House to join Ramsay Macdonald in 1929.
