Elephant Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. 31 exquisite mounted plates, details from the frescoes. There are also 4 tipped in smaller colour plates and 3 full page bw plates in the text. This large volume displays the works of Italian painter Benozzo Gozzoli, who lived during the fifteenth century. The work is filled with beautiful, large black-and-white and color reporductions, with gilt tooling on the color prints, and including a fold-out painting and two tipped-in color prints. Text is in Italian, english, french and german.
