Description
Name/date to half-title page. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 499pp. Charles Robert Ashbee was one of the most significant figures in British artistic and cultural life around the start of the 20th century - as an architect, designer and social reformer. Inspired by the anti-industrialism of John Ruskin and William Morris, he started a craft workshop in London's East End in 1888 before moving it out to the Cotswold town of Chipping Campden in 1902.
