Caduta di Fetonte.

Bellissimo foglio ispirato a Michelangelo, raffigurante Il mito di Fetonte, tratto dalle Metamorfosi di Ovidio. Nella parte superiore si vede Zeus che lancia il fulmine per punire Fetonte, al centro il carro con i quattro cavalli che si arrovellano smarriti nell'aria e Fetonte in procinto di cadere, in basso due donne, le sorelle Eliadi, che accortesi della caduta del ragazzo si disperano guardando il cielo, una figura maschile sdraiata, si tratta di una divinità fluviale, Eridano (il Po), in cui Fetonte sta per cadere.

Restituit'', monogram ''A.L.F.'' on the left.  Beautiful Michelangelo-inspired etching depicting The Myth of Phaeton from Ovid's Metamorphoses. The upper part shows Zeus hurling the thunderbolt to punish Phaeton, in the center the chariot with the four horses that are stumbling lost in the air, and Phaeton about to fall. At the bottom there are two women, the Eliad sisters, who noticing the boy's fall are in despair looking up at the sky, and a male figure lying down, this is the river deity Eridanus (the Po river), into which Phaeton is about to fall.
