Ann Arbour, MI, The University of Michigan, 1916-1945. Six papers in one. 8vo (24.2 x 16.2 cm). 240 pp.; ten plates and maps. Red buckram with gilt bands and title on the spine. = This convolute contains all six monographs written by the American malacologist Calvin Goodrich (1874-1954) in the University's Miscellaneous Publications, as follows No. 7 (1922) "The Anculodae of the Alabama River drainage" (58 pp.; three plates); 12 (1924). "The genus Gyrotoma" (30 pp.; two plates); 31 (1936) "Goniobasis of the Coosa River, Alabama" (60 pp.; one plate); 34 (1937). "Mollusca of Petén and North Alta Vera Paz, Guatemala" (50 pp.; one plate, one large, folded map); 43 (1939). "Aquatic mollusks of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan" (45 pp.); and 64 (1945). "Goniobasis livescens of Michigan" (36 pp; one plate, one map). All deal with North or Central American freshwater gastropods. Well-illustrated. In the rear is a 6 pp. paper by Goodrich, titled "A trip to islands in Lake Erie", offprint from the Annals of the Carnegie Museum 10 (1916). The Guatemalan and North Michigan papers co-authored by the Dutch-American malacologist Henry Van Der Schalie (1907-1986). Bound for the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020), with his stamp in the top margin of the front free endpaper. A very good item.
