No marks or inscriptions. A lovely clean very tight copy with bright unmarked front board and spine, extremely faint line rub down rear, a trace of foxing to fore edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with a little foxing to spine and (invisible from the outside) tape strengthening to spine ends. Now protected in a fully removablle translucent sleeve. Further protected in a very good slipcase with rusty staples and lightly foxed and rubbed paper label to spine. 176 plates plus 343pp. A very detailed study of North European architecture from the Carolingian period of the late 8th and 9th centuries followed by the later Romanesque style in Italy, France and Germany and its expansion into Spain, Portugal, Palestine, Hungary, Scandinavia and Britain. Very well illustrated.
