Pictorial book plate lightly attached inside front board. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, minor bump to spine foot and no bumping to corners. Dusty dust jacket not price clipped with very minor marks, sunned spine and nicks/chips to upper edge and spine foot. 588pp. Three stories in one about the Pasquier family which bring the story of the family up to the outbreak of the First World War. The stories are 'Pastors and Masters', 'Cecile' and 'The Fight Against the Shadows'. Translated by Beatrice de Holthoir.
