Illustrato da una carta topografica in cromolitografia ripieg. e 39 tavole fotogr. f.t. (1 guida alpina, 1 costume, 37 vedute; quella in antiporta è un' electrogravure in tinta bluastra). Prima edizione in inglese, pregiata e non comune, che traduce la prima italiana dal titolo ''Ricordi alpini delle Dolomiti''. L'autore (1868-1944) aveva compiuto l'ascesa al Cervino nel 1890, con la cordata di Jean-Antoine Carrel, la celebre anziana guida, il quale morì subito dopo a seguito alle fatiche sostenute contro la tormenta e per salvare la spedizione. Ottimo esemplare. Perret 4068: «Un des premiers ouvrages consacrés à l'escalade dans les Dolomites. Ouvrage recherché». ACL p. 289.
