CONVIVIUM : Exchange and Interactions in the Arts of Medieval Europe Byzantium and Mediterranean - Periodico Semestrale Volume 1.1 (2014 ) -8.1 ( 2021 ) Turnhout Distr. Pages 3.000 appr.Language englsih, italian, french paperback- The set of 15 vols.euro 900,00.- ISSN 2336-3452 (print) MK CR E 21592 Current issue: BUY PRINTED ISSUE Convivium: Exchanges and Interactions in the Arts of Medieval Europe, Byzantium, and the Mediterranean, Seminarium Kondakovianum Series Nova, ISSN: 2336-3452, is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal published in cooperation of three institutions: Center for Early Medieval Studies of Masaryk University (at the Department of the History of Art, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University), Academy of Science of the Czech Republic and University of Lausanne. Its editorial and the organizing committee include Czech, Italian, Swiss, and American scholars. -- The journal Convivium publishes original papers from the field of medieval art history. Its goal is to invest in the vitality of the interests that connect eastern and western Europe and the cultural roots they share through the Mediterranean. Convivium covers an extended chronological range, from the Early Christian period until the end of the Middle Ages. Equally vast is the range of subjects it treats. Whereas its central concern remains art history, it also includes many disciplines tied to art history in the deepest sense: anthropology, liturgy, archaeology, historiography and, obviously, history itself. -- Two numbers of the journal will be issued every year; all articles will be approved by a blind peer-review process. The first focus on a theme, and the second is a miscellany. Each issue comprises five to fifteen articles (in French, English, Italian, or German). -- Convivium is published in paper and digital format and distributed by the prestigious Belgian publisher Brepols. -- Convivium restarts and continues the glorious Seminarium Kondakovianum, the journal of the institute founded in Prague in memory of Nikodim Kondakov in 1927.
