Sm. 4to., Sole Edition, with a portrait and illustrations in the text; cloth, gilt back, a fine copy in the dustwrapper. EDITION LIMITED TO 1000 NUMBERED COPIES (this copy no. 226). The last of Rowse's works on his birthplace, published posthumously in celebration of the life of one of Cornwall's greatest men of letters. 'When Dr. Johnson was sleepless at night he occupied his mind composing Latin verses. Similarly when I can't get to sleep I take to making rhymes on Cornish place names.'
