8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece, plates and folding map on blue stock; blue cloth, gilt back, blue top, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter with one short closed tear. Regarded by many as the outstanding British naval commander of WWII, 'ABC' wrote his autobiography 'A Sailor's Odyssey' in 1951. The present (authorised) memoir does much to fill the inevitable gaps.
