Contemporary blind black pebbled half cloth over black leather. = An excellent work by the prolific and versatile Austrian (Viennese) zoologist, herpetologist and entomologist Franz Joseph Maria Werner (1867-1939). This is his "first major faunal work" (Adler). Light rubbing to boards, endpapers cracked at inner joints; otherwise a very good, clean copy. Rare. Adler I, pp. 70-71.
