Tokyo: Japan Fisheries resource Conservation Association, 1991. 4to (25.7 x 18.3 cm). 204 pp.; 79 (groups of) full colour photos and numerous line drawings. Burgundy cloth with gilt title on the front board and spine. In transparant jacket. = A beautifully illustrated but rarely seen work on larger (i.e., of possible economical value) benthic echinoderms (sea lilies, starfish, brittle stars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers). Three species and one subspecies are described as new. The authors remark that this is the last volume of a rarely-seen series of ten volumes, all dealing with Japanese continental slope and adjacent areas fish and invertebrates of possible economic interest. C. Oguro and T. Okutani are listed as editors. Both zoologists are also listed as co-authors, together with S. Irimura, T. Oji, and K. Kanazawa. A fine, clean copy. As new.
