Name/date to front end paper. No other added marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers. Clean very tight foxed pages with unmarked boards, rubbed leather corners and board edges. Ribbed leather spine with one compartment of spine strip missing although title present and intact. Front board hinge a little fragile. 412pp. Family crest bookplate inside front board of Alderman Dakin who was Lord Mayor-elect of London in 1870. Biographical memoir of Charles Lamb (14 pages) followed by over 70 short articles being memoirs, events, philosphy etc. Tucked in is an internet article on the Dakin family, history and motto which is to be found on the family crest.
